Terrible update. Its all over the place without the structure of before. It navigates in some bizarre fashion, I dont know where I am. Before was better. This new update is awful.

The new redesign is ok but there are two things that make the user experience worse than the previous version. First you cant change the font size and its tiny and gray. If your eyesight is not great I would avoid upgrading. Second it now takes 3 clicks to switch sections as youre forced through a publication menu. Its tedious and makes me read less. Please give us some font controls back asap Herald, thats a real oversight.

Wow ! Slick trumps actually reading the news. Lets have something we can read. Also: get over the trashy tabloid headlines!

Ridiculously small font with no ability to enlarge and light colour makes it impossible to read. Previous version much better.

This new platform took something that functioned smoothly and destroyed it! Text cant be enlarged Pages dont update promptly and the menu links are clumsy. What a pity- NZ news used to be so accessible.

Cant pinch and zoom photos. Cant scroll until the article is fully loaded. Cant rotate to landscape. Really not as good as just using a browser.

The new release is a solidly retrograde step. Yes, more pretty graphics, but microscopic unchangable font, videos that seek to preload so freeze you on a story whether or not you actually want to read that article, and still the same mediocre unprofread content with heavy cut and paste from US sources that are largely irrelevant to actual life in NZ.

Lets me sit in my living room in the U.S. and learn about New Zealand from New Zealanders. Wonderful country, visited two years ago.

Like others the small font is really annoying as is the fact that stories appear multiple times in the latest news listing. When I bothered to contact support about this they did not even have the courtesy to respond. Im gonna use Stuff as my primary NZ news site until the Herald sorts these things out.

I am disappointed in the new version of the NZH...almost feels as bad as the effort to design a new flag for the country. The layout is now harder to read on a white background, the navigation is not intuitive...and the reporting is so "average". Too much fluff and not enough news. I could care less about the latest NZ reality TV show. That is not news, it is entertainment. So disappointing.

Hard to navigate and full of bugs. The old version was fine this update was a complete mess.

The old App was my news Go To site for NZ and International news .... Even though I have paid subscriptions to the NY Times and NBR. The new App does a "brilliant" job of hiding great journalism beneath a layer of photos and obscure headlines, dramatically slowing ones ability to assess a particular stories relevance, while soaking up heaps of data and battery power. Never used Stuff before, but Ive moved to it, as has the rest of the family. A big, big disappointment, but then the incompetence of successive APN management teams is legendary in financial circles....

Im not liking this new layout. Prefer the old way, it was easier to follow.

Wow - so much better. Good clear design and great swipe nav. Much easier to read the content. Use to read stuff but now dont even look at their site. Like the rest of the family, wont be going back to stuff anytime soon.

Big change from old version. But there are quite a few bugs to deal with. Hope we get an update quickly.

General features ok, but unstable with predictable crashes and glitches. Shocking to me that the Herald would even release.

I really dont like the new version. Until its changed back Ill continue using the OneNews app to get my NZ news from here in The States

Was expecting a lot but old app version was better. What you can see in each section is limited to a few headlines. Used to see about 30. Now one has to select the button to see more. If you take it on the run to read later, when you go back to read all those articles I find that I am back limited to the few that were originally shown. Get easier access to the news articles on the Stuff app now. Disappointing

Come on guys. There are some really basic problems with this app that should never have passed QA. As an iOS developer myself I know these are avoidable. A couple of examples: - Seems like every time I scroll down a list of stories I see duplicates. - When I am reading a story often an ad will obscure the text. I dont use this app anymore, I just open the website in my mobile browser instead. Kind of ridiculous dont you agree? Do I need to come home and fix it for you?
